Muallim Academy Refund Policy

Effective Date: 1 September 2025

This Refund Policy applies to all registrations, courses, camps, webinars, and other programs (“Services”) offered by Muallim Academy (“we”, “us”, “our”). By enrolling or paying fees, you (the “Participant” or “Customer”) agree to the terms stated herein.


1. Payment & Acceptance

  • All payments must be made in full (or as stated for partial payment plans) before participation in any Service begins.

  • We reserve the right to refuse service or cancel registration at our discretion (e.g., insufficient enrolment, unforeseen circumstances). In such cases, full refunds will be issued to the Participant, except for any non-recoverable costs (see Section 5).


2. Refund Eligibility

To protect our commitments, resources, and scheduling, refunds are only available under the following conditions:

Timing of Request Refundable Amount to Customer*
More than 30 calendar days before the scheduled start date of the Service 75% of fees paid minus any transaction/processing fees incurred by us.
15 to 30 calendar days before the scheduled start date 50% of fees paid minus transaction/processing fees.
Less than 15 calendar days before the scheduled start date No refund.
After the Service has started No refund, except in exceptional circumstances at our discretion.

*Processing of refunds will be subject to verification and any costs already incurred (e.g. materials, venue bookings, printed modules, T-shirt/orderings) may be deducted.


3. Requesting a Refund

  • All refund requests must be made in writing/email to our official contact address: info@muallimacademy.my (or as per current contact info).

  • Refund requests must clearly include your name, registration details, the Service name, scheduled date, and reason for cancellation.

  • Refunds will be processed within 14 business days from acceptance of your valid request. It may take additional days for banks or payment processors to credit the amount into your account.


4. Transfer or Credit Option (Alternative to Refund)

  • If you are unable to attend, you may request to transfer your enrolment to a future session of equal value, provided your request is made more than 15 days before the program begins, subject to availability.

  • A credit note valid for 12 months from date of issue may be offered in lieu of refund. This credit is non-transferable and must be used by the original registrant.


5. Non-Refundable Items/Circumstances

Refunds will not be provided under the following conditions:

  • A change of mind or scheduling conflicts that are within your control when timeline is within the non-refundable period (see Section 2).

  • Failure to attend, or incomplete attendance, without prior valid notice.

  • Partial use of the Service (e.g. attending some days, but not all).

  • If you have violated any of our terms of service or code of conduct.

  • Costs incurred by Muallim Academy which cannot be reclaimed (e.g. irreversible vendor bookings, printing of custom materials, etc.).


6. Termination by Muallim Academy

  • In rare cases we may need to cancel or reschedule a Service (for example due to insufficient participants, weather concerns, or force majeure).

  • If we cancel a Service entirely, all participants will receive full refund of any fees paid (excluding optional add-ons or third-party items, if any, unless those can be canceled/refunded by the third party).

  • If we reschedule, participants may choose:
    a) To accept the new date, or
    b) To receive a refund minus any unrecoverable costs incurred.


7. Dispute & Governing Law

  • This policy is governed by the laws of Malaysia.

  • In the event of disputes, you agree to attempt resolution via mediation before pursuing litigation.


8. Amendments

  • Muallim Academy reserves the right to amend or update this Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will be effective from the date posted on the website.

  • Your continued participation or registration after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
